Greetings HES Families,
This is our last week of school before the Holiday break! We would like to thank all our families for your
ongoing support. Our students have done an excellent job this Fall living our Hawk’s Honour Code. We
are so very proud of their hard work.
On behalf of our staff, we wish you a safe and happy Holiday break
and a Happy New Year!
HES Winter Concert – Our students, student leader teams, choirs and drama clubs have been hard at
work preparing for our Winter Concert. All our classes have their Seasonal Artwork on display both
inside and outside the gym. Check out the student entries from our bookfair contest as well as our grade
5 Snow Globe contest entries for our program design. Thank you to Ms. LeBlanc, Ms. Richarson, Mrs.
Branch, and Mrs. Henry for all your work organizing and coaching our students!

Best Seats in the House Tickets for the Winter Concert – Thank you to all the families who supported
this initiative. We raised $434.00 dollars for the Hampton Food Basket!
Congratulations to Tammy Simpson and to Jessica Janes who are the lucky recipients of the Best Seats in
the House, Reserved Parking, Hot Chocolate and Treats!
Harvey Studios School Photo Retake Orders – Harvey Studios advised that they had some printing
issues resulting in delays in a chemical order for their printing machines and this has been remedied.
They hope to deliver the retake orders to us this week.
Grinch Day Tuesday, Dec.19th – We are having our annual Grinch Day on Tuesday, Dec. 19th! Students
will enjoy a day of learning through literacy activities supported by the Hampton High School Leadership
Students. Everyone is invited to dress like a Who from Whoville! Thank you to Ms. Harlow and Mrs.
Kennedy for organizing this event!
HES Clothing and Merchandise - We expect to receive your order mid-week and will send them home to
families as soon as they arrive.
HES Home and School Java Moose Coffee Fundraiser – A note for families that the Java Moose Coffee
orders will be sent home with students on Monday. Large orders are awaiting pick up in the office during
school hours.
Pizza Hot Lunch – With the cancellation of one week of pizza, the last week for this current round will be
Dec. 20 instead. However, we will still run the ordering for the next round of pizza from Dec.8-18 to
ensure we have it ordered in time for our return in January. Orders will be available for purchase from
Dec.8-18. Paper order forms can be picked up in the office.
**Correction to the Pizza order information: it will be for 6 weeks for $12/1 slice or $24/2 slices for the
dates of Jan. 10, 17, 24, 31, Feb. 7, 14/2024. Apologies for the confusion.

nd is a ½ day for students. The buses will load at
